  • Front Office Volunteers Needed! - Front Office volunteers needed!  We have openings Thursday, 8:30 - 10:30, 2x/month.  If you can help, please contact Melinda Prewett  or Shelly Newton .   
  • Early Language Learners -  The Early Language Learners program will begin offering French for the spring semester! Our teacher is Mrs. Colette Ghoussoub, a native of Lebanon. Her degree is in Elementary Education and she has been teaching with ELL for 3 years. Class will be on Wednesday. Also, we have moved our Spanish K-1 class to Thursdays. It will be taught by Mrs. Sonia Barrera, currently a teacher in Spring Branch who has 14 years of  teaching experience. Our Spanish 2—5 class will continue on Mondays with Mrs. Pilar Navrette. Classes will begin the week of Jan. 12 and end the week of May 18th. For registration or more information, please call 713-722-0063 or email.
  • Yearbook and Shooting Stars! - Order your year books ($35) and recognize your children in the pages of the book with a shooting star. Please contact Kenze Beyer with any questions - kenze.beyer@transwestern.net 
  • 2007-2008 Best of the Best Yearbook Winner. - Special Thanks to the Cover Artists: Front Cover: Katie Frasier (now in 6th Grade) and Back Cover: Carolyn Borowski (now in 5th Grade).  Briargrove placed 3rd Nationally!!!!
  • Lunch Money - If your child has borrowed money for lunch, kindly repay your balance to the front office. Repayment ensures that other children benefit from this service on days they forget their lunch money! Thank you for your consideration.
  • grady logoGrady News - Breakfast with the Grady Principal – The students who are definitely committed to attending Grady as 6th graders were invited to a breakfast with Mrs. Hoffman on December 11th. Mrs. Hoffman had a great turnout and she really enjoyed meeting her new students. The students will be invited each month to discuss middle school questions with their future principal. Make sure your 5th grader is not left out. Please turn in your Grady applications by January 9th to receive an invitation.
  • BG Tiles - Looking for a fun activity to do in your free time? Try Painting a family tile for Briargrove Elementary. Just go to The Mad Potter (Voss @ Woodway), ask for a BG tile and get creative. Cost for a tile is around $ 12.00. The Mad Potter will hold the tile, we will pick it up and have it installed.   • carpoolCarpool Pickup - There is no parking allowed on Briar Ridge along the park side. The Terwilliger / Briar Ridge intersection must remain clear for the safety of our children. Thank you for your cooperation.
  • lunch Lunch Time News - Please remember that each child is allowed to ask ONE friend to join them for lunch. Please ensure your child (and their guest's) safety and do not allow them on the play structures during lunch. Thank you for your cooperation!
